The race mimics the real life Le Mans where teams are formed by two sim racers and two real life pro drivers. Olli Pahkala joins the race together with Alpine Racing in car #36, featuring Fernando Alonso as the team captain.

My 24h of Le Mans journey started back in 2020 where I had the privilege to join Fernando Alonso, Rubens Barrichello and Jarl Teien to race the 24h of Le Mans Virtual. It was an amazing experience, and I’m super happy that I was asked to race together with Fernando and Alpine Racing in Le Mans again”, Olli shares his experience and enthusiasm to the Le Mans race. “I’ve always been a huge fan of team racing. Sharing the intense experience of Le Mans with great drivers and managers around you is always unforgettable. The field is packed with the top talent of the world so it’s going to be a tense and fun race.

Our paths crossed with Olli back in 2020 and we’ve been in close contact ever since. It has been exciting and fun to race with him in the simulators, and even more exciting to share ideas and plans for the future”, the two-time F1 World Champion Fernando Alonso shares his experience with Olli. “Sim racing is in a unique position in the modern world with great opportunities around the sport. Olli is working tirelessly to make the world a better place through sim racing, and I’m super excited to share the journey with him now and in the years to come!

24h of Le Mans Virtual is hosted by Motorsport Games using rFactor 2 simulator. The race is the pinnacle of Le Mans Virtual Series featuring a staggering prize pool of $250 000. The event brings together the world’s best professional drivers and sim racers, teamed together for 24 hours of virtual racing around the legendary French track and the whole event will be televised live across the world via a special TV programme to be made live from Paris.
